Puzzles

This is a song about grieving based on a true story about a couple who lost their son. They love jigsaw puzzles and, after playing them, they disassemble them, date the box and then save them to play again five years later -- keeping the boxes in their son's old bedroom. Why? Because it helps them remember him and the times they played these puzzles together.

Given the events of this past week, where a number of children were needlessly slaughtered by an angry teen with legal, easy access to assault rifle weapons of war in Texas, it seemed only appropriate to release this early.

All the photography, video editing, and music writing and production was by me. Thanks to Elio Pace and Gavin Gold, who gave me early feedback on the song and the production. This should be available on all sites that both stream and sell music soon. Remember to support independent artists by generously sharing the music you love, and if possible, to purchase the music as sites like Apple Music or Amazon. We do not have major label support so YOU are all we have. Thank you.

Something You Can Never Live Down

A new song that took me 30 years to write. Why did I leave my family, friend and church to run away to the big city (Dallas)? It was because I was unnecessarily harboring a secret I could not tell anyone.

Because, back then, it was the worst thing a human being could be. Shame and fear was all I knew.
It's gone now that I have released myself from the bondage of a certain theological belief (and, no, it's not just being gay). Hint: Original sin.

Still, the scars throb and never quite seem to heal. Even now, there are friends from that era I love dearly, but we cannot speak. We have no common language. We cannot reason together. It's tragic.

Blog News

Recently, this blog was taken down because somehow it was reported as a spam site. Luckily, the people running Blogger allowed me back in. So, I'm going to be posting a few more videos in quick succession that I was unable to post during the suspension.

These days, I don't post much except my music and videos. I talk on them and sing to you. And play for you. I hope you enjoy them.
