Your music moves me, Steve. In moments I find that disquieting. There are too often things I do not say, things I do not allow myself to dwell on. Not surprisingly, they pop up at the strangest moments. That is a lovely song. Lovely is my way of saying it is so much more than that.
To me, your music being "not easy" is the way I want it.
I've always wanted to take the "not easy" route I guess. I tend to say the hard things, the uncomfortable things. I tend to hang around people who tell the truth, as "not easy" as that is.
I've always gravitated toward the messy truths, leaving the pretty lies with someone else.
Maybe that's why your story, your blog and your music resonates so strongly with me.
Steve I Keep wanting to use the f-word or type like this *(^*&%$&^^%&@@##!!!!! when writing about your songs just to express how WONDERFUL they are to me. I think we all spent a fair amount of time fantasizing about these kind of scenarios and still do but Holy %*$% you nailed it again! I wrote a bunch of songs over the years where somebody dies but it was always a civil war soldier or something sufficiently removed from my present day circumstances. Please please keep 'em coming...Oh Yeah and I will buy the record too! We had an amazing weekend. Apparently i CAN still rock. We rocked the house..maybe the whole *$%^@ island. I played The Group for my bandmates. That was a very special moment..Thank You.

Thank you very much. I've had people before tell me that my music is not easy. I can tell you this, it wasn't easy to write, either. :-)
So powerful, Steve.
