Grey's Anatomy won the Golden Globe for Best TV Drama, but the bigger drama is what's happening backstage as Isaiah Washington, who called one of the other actors, T. R. Knight, a "faggot" on the set, continues to deny he ever said it. And that it's any big deal. Well, it was a big deal to T. R., who is a very shy and sweet person, because the story got out and he ended up the focus of a tabloid story. Handling it with grace, he came out and said that he was gay, but that being called a "faggot" was the equivalent of calling someone a "nigger." And if THAT had happened, as in the Michael Richards incident, there'd be a seismic upheaval. Here's T. R. discussing the incident on the Ellen Show.

I've always loved T.R. and knew why when he came out. *laugh* But I really adored the way he handled himself on Ellen's show. He was astounding and made me very proud.
I have to say I feel a bit vindicated right now.
What a complete and utter ass Washington is.
