A Quick Note

We had two wonderful houses today. The Equity Deputy meeting was fascinating yesterday. ('ll tell you more about it later). I'm so tired I can barely hold my head up. This doing eight shows a day is tiring. I promise I'll post more stuff later on. Now I'm going to sleep. Nighty night....

EDIT: Gabi notes in the comments that I said above, "Eight shows a day." Of course I meant eight shows a week. See how tired I was last night?

LMAO. Eight shows a day.

Hey, Stevie, I'm going to the store. Can I get you a computer?

Sounds like you were pretty slaphappy when you wrote that.

Are you getting some idea of what it means to be a Great Big Broadway Star now? 8 a week for a year... 2... 3... run of the show?

I wonder what it was like, when folks from Paducah came to EnWhyCee, 2 or 3 years after the opening night of "Gypsy", EXPECTING to see Ethel Merman, fresh as she was on opening night, belting out "Rose's Turn"?

How did she do it?

I'm still finding fresh things every night in the show. It's just exacting a toll on me during the times I'm NOT onstage, especially since I'm still working on the score, promoting my songs to other singers and working on new songs besides. It just feels like I never stop.
